About

Lara United FC

Lara United Football Club (FC) began as the Lara Soccer Club (Lara SC) section of the Lara Sporting Club. Lara SC was founded in 1999 by a dedicated group of parents who wanted their kids to play soccer locally within Lara. Over the years, with the help from dedicated and committed volunteers, the club has grown to what it is today.

In 2016, Lara United FC Inc was established as a stand alone club. With the continued support of our members, Lara United FC aims to continually grow to be the largest and most professionally run local club in the Geelong region.

Our aim is to provide a safe family friendly club environment that enables all players to get the best out of themselves both on & off the soccer pitch.

In 2019/2020 season saw our new facility including social space open, this included female friendly changerooms.

In 2021 our sports lighting was installed thanks to City of Greater Geelong and our Councillors Kylie Grzybek and Anthony Aitken.

In 2022 we received further grants for full pitch fencing and new player benches.

In the summer of 2024/2025 we had our pitches re done.  In the latter part of season 2025 we also had our new fencing installed thanks to a grant from the Lara District Community Bank (Bendigo Lara).

See you in season 2026.
